Welcome to the “Melograno”, an authentic Paradise immersed in greenery at the foot of the striking Moreniche hills. It is the historical backdrop of some of the most famous Risorgimento battles and the land of Custoza, a refined, white wine made according to ancient peasant traditions. The Melograno is the result of the commitment and entrepreneurial spirit of the Lonardi family who, thanks to Eleonora’s willingness and passion, have succeeded in combining hospitality and a unique welcome, typical of country tradition.
Each apartment looks out onto a small, attractive garden with garden furniture, to offer guests a charming relaxation area where they can sip fresh aperitifs at sunset or seek shade during hot summer afternoons. The small private gardens look out onto a large park with an English lawn, which runs along the longest side of the farmhouse. The intense green of the grass enhances the entire complex and provides a refreshing, oasis-like environment, where you can seek refuge during the hot summer afternoons.
In the spring months the peach trees, the century-old mulberries and the other trees in the garden in bloom entice your senses with their fruity scents and pastel colors. The Melograno park is not just a beautiful setting but also an environment in which you can spend relaxing and pleasant hours walking between the small hedges or relaxing in the shade of the wooden gazebo. A homemade pastry, lovingly made with by the “lady of the house” can accompany your time in the park. The farmhouse’s garden in an unspoiled area of peace where you can enjoy a quiet, silent moment to yourself, in contrast with the accelerated rhythm of day-to-day life.
The property is located in a strategic position near to all main transport networks and can easily be reached by public transport. Less than 5 kilometers away there are two highway exits, A4 Milan-Venice and A22 Modena-Brennero, Verona’s Valerio Catullo airport and the Villafranca railway station. The Melograno is exactly half way between the two beautiful cities of Verona and Mantua and is about 30 minutes from Lake Garda.

The Melograno’s family environment cannot only be felt in the atmosphere but also in the tastes you will discover when you wake up. Breakfast will become the most indulgent moment of your stay. Everything is strictly homemade with local and fresh products, following authentic recipes from the area. Each morning you will be met by Eleonora’s greeting of enticing aromas and unforgettable tastes. Try to imagine an entire buffet area of dough breads, croissants, sweet pastries and pies as well as homemade jams made with local fruits. There are also sliced meats, freshly baked bread and for those who like to keep trim even when on holiday there are yogurts, cereals and fresh fruits. The breakfast room is a homely nest designed to spoil our guests with the warmth of the fireplace, the intimate welcome of the furniture that delicately blends with the rustic and ethnic styles of pastel colors, carpets, refined vases in Trerracotta and Rattan, as well as hardwood furniture.

Located in the centre of the park, the swimming pool makes your stay even more unforgettable. Anyone who loves walking will find easy footpaths through the country or up the hills. Guests can have free rental bicycles - for adults and children - at their disposal (subject to availability).
And nearby there is a wonderful 18 hole golf course.
Verona, a beautiful art city rich in culture, is only 20 km away as are the charming landscapes of lake Garda, Lessinia and Monte Baldo. From here you can reach: Verona - 19 km, Mantua - 23 km, Brescia - 60 km, Padua - 99 km, Venice - 130 km, Treviso - 150 km.
