la lontra. Questo simpatico mustelide ha trovato una calorosa ospitalità negli ambienti fluviali del Parco, e, in particolar modo nel fiume Calore. Questo, per la sua bellezza e per la suggestione dei luoghi che attraversa è il "Fiume Principe" del Parco. Tra i paesi di Felitto e Magliano Nuovo, poi, raggiunge l`apice della sua spettacolarità. Qui il Calore va ad infiltrarsi tra pareti rocciose, acclivi che ricadono direttamente nel letto fluviale quasi volessero imprigionarlo e lo scorrere turbolento delle sue acque dopo migliaia di anni ha scolpito nella roccia tante "opere d`arte": marmitte dei giganti, campi carreggiati, conche laterali. E "Madre Natura", non ancora contenta di tanta bellezza ha completato la sua opera con una folta vegetazione che durante l`anno lo arricchisce con una molteplicità di colori. Nel corso delle epoche passate le antiche genti locali hanno lasciato tracce indelebili della loro civiltà: i due stupendi ponti medievali a schiena d`asino.

It is the uncontested queen of the clear waters.

This nice weasel found a warm hospitality in the river environments of the Park, and, in particolar manner in the river Calore which, for its beauty and for the suggestive places that it goes through, is the "Prince River " of the Park.
It is most spectacular between the towns of Felitto and New Magliano where it infiltrates the rocky formations that gracefully descend into the river creating many “works of art” after thousands of years. Mother Nature also made sure there was a thick vegetation that present a variety of colors. Among the contributions of mankind to this scenery are two medieval bridges shaped like a donkey’s back.
